Sourced from a Local Estate, these pheasants are of the highest quality.
With a very lean breast meat and gamey flavour they are one of the most versatile game birds available. Simply roast in the oven, or make a hearty, deep flavoured casserole.
Similar to turkey, pheasant has a dry texture and so we suggest wrapping in bacon during cooking to retain the moisture.
If purchased out of season (February to October), this product will have been previously frozen and will defrost on its way to you. It may also may contain shot.

We go to great lengths to ensure that only the highest quality game is sourced, with our venison coming predominantly from Hampton Court, Leominster. Both our pheasant and partridge is supplied by a local Estate, ensuring the birds arrive to us on the same day they’re shot.
Preheat your oven to 190c.
On a medium heat, in a ovenproof frying pan, heat oil and butter until foaming.
Lay the pheasants in the pan, cook until golden-brown in colour (about 3-5 minutes) on the leg sides. Turn the pheasants onto their breast side to colour for a further 2-3 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper; then put a rasher of our streaky bacon over the breast. Pop in a roasting tin and cook for approximately 30 minutes, until the juices run clear.
Rest for 5 minutes before serving
