This is one of the most versatile joints of our free range chicken, perfect cooked in a slow pot roast, and just as tasty popped on the barbecue. The thigh has a dark meat, which gives it a real depth of flavour, almost gamey, and it retains the succulent juices during cooking making it succulent to eat.
Its flavour will speak for itself, but it can easily be marinated for an extra taste dimension.

This free range chicken is supplied by Creedy Carver who have specialised in producing the finest Free Range Duck and Chicken for over 30 years with a reputation for great flavour and a high meat yield. The concept is the same now as it has always been, to produce great tasting poultry with a huge emphasis on bird welfare and sustainable farming.
Pre-heat the oven to 180c.
Lightly season with sea salt and ground pepper, some fresh garden herbs can be added if available. Lightly drizzle with oil and pop into a baking dish
Place the baking dish in the oven and cook for 25 – 30 minutes (depending on the size of the thighs).
or to cook on the barbecue
Pre-heat you barbecue to a medium temperature.
Place the chicken thighs flat on the barbecue and cook for approximately 20 minutes, turning regularly. The outside should be lightly charred which will add to the flavour.
Remove from the oven/barbecue and check a few piece of the chicken to ensure it is thoroughly cooked.
