Delicious oven roasted or in a casserole
Whole chicken legs including the bone is some of the tastiest meat, delicious oven roasted or in a casserole. The leg has a dark meat, which gives it a real depth of flavour, almost gamey; cooking the bone retains the succulent juices during cooking making it succulent to eat.
Our Free Range Chicken is supplied by Packington Estate. Their philosophy is simple – what’s good for their chickens and the land will naturally be good for us and better for their customers. It’s this simple philosophy that enables them to produce the most succulent, richly flavoured meat, often lost in today’s intensive farming methods.

All Nationwide consignments are made to order and vacuum packed. Orders are boxed with refrigerant pads to ensure that goods are kept cool throughout the journey.

This free range chicken is supplied by Creedy Carver who have specialised in producing the finest Free Range Duck and Chicken for over 30 years with a reputation for great flavour and a high meat yield. The concept is the same now as it has always been, to produce great tasting poultry with a huge emphasis on bird welfare and sustainable farming.
Pre-heat the oven to 170c.
Roughly chop some shallots, leek and cherry tomatoes and place in a baking dish. Place the chicken legs on top and season with olive oil, sea salt, ground pepper and fresh garden herbs.
Baste with the natural juices during cooking to add to the flavour.
Place into the oven and cook for 50 – 60 minutes, until the skin is golden brown and the juices run clear.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and leave to rest for 5 minutes.
